Last updated: Aug 8, 2026
1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how ML Data Products Inc., a Delaware corporation, operating as "BurbleLabs" ("BurbleLabs," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, shares, and protects personal data when you use our website, applications, and related services (the "Platform").
This Policy applies to Contributors, Reviewers, Call Participants ("Friends") invited to a Call, Buyers, and visitors to our website. It should be read alongside our Terms of Service and, where applicable, our Cookie Policy.
2. Data we collect
2.1 Account and profile data
- Name, email address, and password
- Country, native language, dialect/accent region, other languages spoken, and age range
- Payout email address (e.g. PayPal) and, where applicable, tax information
- Role on the Platform (Contributor, Reviewer, Admin)
2.2 Voice and Call data
- Audio recordings of Calls between Contributors and their invited Friends
- Metadata about each Call: duration, timestamp, language/dialect, and quality review outcomes
- Transcripts, where generated or reviewed
- For Call Participants who do not hold an account: the name they provide when joining, their consent confirmation, and the resulting audio — we do not require them to create an account or provide any other personal data
2.3 Usage and device data
- Log data such as IP address, browser type, device identifiers, and access times
- Interactions with the Platform, including pages visited and features used
- Cookies and similar technologies — see our Cookie Policy
2.4 Payment and referral data
- Earnings history, withdrawal requests, and payout status
- Referral codes, referral relationships, and qualifying activity used to calculate referral rewards
2.5 Buyer inquiry data
- Name, work email, company, job title, and stated data requirements submitted through the buyer inquiry form
3. How we use your data
- To create and administer your account and provide the Platform's core functionality
- To facilitate Calls between Contributors and Friends, including consent capture
- To review, quality-score, and process Recordings for licensing
- To calculate and pay Earnings, including referral rewards
- To license Recordings and datasets to Buyers, as described in Section 5
- To communicate with you, including service updates, transactional emails, and — where you have opted in — product or referral marketing
- To detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms
- To comply with legal obligations, including tax reporting
- To improve and develop the Platform
4. Legal basis for processing (EEA/UK users)
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases:
- Consent — for recording Calls, for marketing communications, and for optional profile data
- Contract — to provide the Platform and pay Earnings you are owed
- Legitimate interests — for fraud prevention, quality assurance, and Platform improvement, balanced against your rights
- Legal obligation — for tax and regulatory compliance
5. How we share data
5.1 Buyers
Recordings that have been reviewed and approved are licensed to Buyers as datasets for AI training and related purposes, as described in our Terms of Service. Datasets are typically delivered with pseudonymised speaker identifiers rather than your name. We do not sell your name, email, or contact details to Buyers.
5.2 Service providers
We share data with providers who help us operate the Platform, including hosting and database infrastructure, email delivery, and payment processing (PayPal or equivalent), each bound by contractual data protection obligations.
5.3 Legal and safety
We may disclose data where required by law, to protect the rights, safety, or property of BurbleLabs or others, or to investigate violations of our Terms.
5.4 Business transfers
If BurbleLabs is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, personal data may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy or a successor policy.
We do not sell personal data to third parties for their own independent marketing purposes.
6. International data transfers
BurbleLabs operates globally and may transfer and process data in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers, such as Standard Contractual Clauses for transfers from the EEA/UK.
7. Data retention
We retain account data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period after closure to comply with legal, tax, and dispute-resolution obligations. Recordings that have already been licensed to a Buyer may continue to exist in delivered datasets even after account closure, consistent with Section 5.4 of our Terms of Service. We retain buyer inquiry data for as long as reasonably necessary to manage the business relationship.
8. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data, subject to the limitations described in Section 5.4 of our Terms of Service for already-delivered Recordings
- Withdraw consent to recording at any time before a Recording is delivered to a Buyer
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Request a portable copy of your data
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority
To exercise these rights: contact us at privacy@burblelabs.com. We aim to respond within the timeframe required by applicable law (e.g. 30 days under GDPR).
9. Children's privacy
The Platform is not directed at, and must not be used by, anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If we become aware that a minor has provided data to us, including as a Call Participant, we will take steps to delete it.
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures — including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and private storage — to protect your data. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies as described in our separate Cookie Policy.
12. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified via the Platform or by email at least 14 days before taking effect.
